Live pair - In the Senate and House of representatives, live pairs are informal voluntary agreements between Members, and are not specifically authorized or recognized by House or Senate rules. Live pairs are agreements which Members employ to nullify the effect of absences on the outcome of recorded votes.
Informal logic - Informal logic is the study of arguments as presented in ordinary language, as contrasted with the presentations of arguments in an artificial (technical) or formal language (see formal logic).
