Militaria - Militaria refers to the artifacts of the military, the police, etc, generally in terms of collecting antiques of historical significance, or their replicas. Included are firearms, weapons, uniforms, badges and insignia, fine art and art prints, cigarette cards, photographs, antiquarian books, magazines, scale models, tin soldiers, challenge coins, etc.

Somnimage - Somnimage was started in 1998 by multi-media artist Mykel Boyd as an outlet to release art, music and related artifacts. Their first project was a multimedia art show.

De Saisset Museum - The de Saisset Museum at Santa Clara University opened in the early 1950s after Isabel de Saisset, the last member of a French pioneer family bequest her estate to the University of Santa Clara. The museum owns nearly 10,000 art pieces and historical artifacts, including the work of well known early Californian artist and university alumnus Ernest de Saisset and a considerable collection of California mission artifacts.

Art for art's sake - "Art for art's sake" is the usual English rendition of a French slogan, 'l'art pour l'art', which is credited to Théophile Gautier (1811–1872).
